The CINA New Technology Assessment Process allows for a new technology or product to be brought safely to the industry more quickly. CINA will assemble an Expert Peer Review Board with members who are experts in regards to the new product/technology. They will follow a process that is focused on anticipation of potential issues in the proposed application and the relevant performance validation, establishing clear procedures that follow a consistent approach. From there, interim standards and certification can follow using the CINA Standards Development Process. Ultimately, this allows for a standards-based introduction of a new product or technology into the gas distribution industry while maintaining technical standards at the highest level for the given technology or product.
This approach is designed to facilitate Manufacturers' discussions with regulatory authorities for acceptance of a new product/technology. The engineering, safety-first approach will have answered many concerns and questions relevant to these authorities and is designed to provide a high level of credibility in these discussions. It is the expressed aim of the CINA New Technology Assessment Process to allow our clients to bring new products or new platforms to market as quickly as possible while maintaining the highest level of safety in the application of the products to protect the client, the industry, and our community.
